Through maintaining a system of environmental management that helps us protect every square inch of land, we are able to help ensure this special place remains magnificent for years to come. To join us in our efforts, make your next meeting in New York a green meeting to include; healthy local eating, compost bins, recycling bins, skip the use of water/soda bottles, plastic utensils, and single-serve anything for a zero-waste meeting.

"Dear ladies and gentlemen, We just wanted to thank you for another nice stay with the Gideon Putnam Hotel during the last week. Though, providing a nice overall experience to your guests is clearly an effort of the entire hotel staff, we still would like to thank the following persons who were so kind to add to our enjoyable stay with your house. - Many thanks to Deanna for constantly assisting us with our reservations - Many thanks to Eric for the personal and warm welcoming - Many thanks to Richard for his attention to the evening guests at the fireplace - Many thanks to Alex for the smile and the kind words upon leaving and returning - Many thanks to Jimmy for his very personal way of feeding the fire and making the chandeliers sparkle We hope that our review at Tripadvisor conveys our nice experiences and supports the business."
- Kind regards, Ortrun and Joerg Winkler April 9, 2016
