For over 150 years, Saratoga Race Course has been home to the historic horse races in Saratoga Springs. The famed course has been named among the world’s greatest sporting venues by Sports Illustrated. Each summer, the historic grandstand comes alive as fans gather not just for world-class racing, but for the timeless charm and electric atmosphere that define Saratoga Springs. Arrive early in the mornings to view the horses in the back stables or watch them walk right by you as they enter the racecourse just minutes ahead of race time. Spectators also arrive right as the gates open to claim free picnic tables, where you can bring your own food and drinks, or purchase tickets for reserved seating in advance. With 8–10 races typically held each day, be sure to put on your best outfit and spend the day soaking in the excitement and tradition.
