GENERAL WEDDING POLICIES
Banquet Menus: Banquet menus, function room arrangements and other details pertaining to your function must be submitted to our sales department at least two weeks prior to your function date. Specialty and theme menus may be designed to meet your particular needs. Entree selection on all banquet menus except buffets is limited to three choices. A three entree pre-ordered menu requires an accurate count of each entree to be submitted (3) business days prior to the function. The resort will be prepared to serve 5% over the guaranteed number. Final menu selections must be submitted at least two weeks prior and a final guaranteed count must be given 3 business days in advance. If no guarantee is received, the original (expected) count will be considered the minimum guarantee. The group will be charged the guaranteed number or the actual number served, whichever is greater. The guarantee is not subject to reduction after the 3-day deadline. Food and Beverage Prices are subject to increase annually. Please request our most recent menus when organizing your final details one month prior to your event to ensure that pricing is current. Please note: All food and beverage must be purchased through the Gideon Putnam Resort.
Beverage Service: The Gideon Putnam offers a complete selection of beverages to complement your function. The Resort, as a licensee of New York State, is responsible to uphold the rules and regulations associated witht the distributions and sale of alcohol within New York State. Therefore, it is the policy that no liquor, wine or beer may be brought into the Resort.
Linen Service: The Hotel provides White or Ivory Linens at no additional charge.
Shuttle Service: The Resort currently offers complimentary shuttle service to the Saratoga Amtrak station and to downtown Saratoga Springs. Transportation to the Albany International Airport is also provided at a one way cost of $60.00. All of these services are based upon availability and advance reservations at least two weeks prior to your function are required.
Gift Delivery: If you are providing gifts/gift bags for your in house guests, a $3.00 per room delivery charge will be applied to your account. Please contact our sales office for delivery arrangements. Please note: it is not possible that gift/gift bags be handed out at the front desk.
Lobby Usage: The Lobby is for the enjoyment of all of our hotel guests. Please note that no lobby furnishings or wall art may be moved under any circumstances. This includes photo shoots for weddings and special events. Please plan accordingly.
Banquet Rooms: Banquet rooms are assigned by the anticipated number of guests. Room rental fees are applicable. Set-up Fees: Room set-up changes made less than 48 hours before the function will incur an additional set-up fee. We reserve the right to change groups to a room suitable for the attendance if an increase or decrease is experienced.
Prices: Banquet prices quoted are subject to tax and 20% service charge. 13-15% of this charge is paid to service personnel and the remainder is paid to non-service personnel or retained by the Resort. Sales tax is subject to increase without notice.
Parking: Parking is available in three parking lots adjacent to the hotel. Valet parking is available upon request. A $75 per attendent charge will be applied.
Wedding Room Blocks: Please contact the Sales Department to set up a room block for your guests at a reduced rate. The Gideon Putnam Resort will provide the Bride and Groom with a Complimentary Standard Room the night of the wedding when a reception is booked within the resort.
