Our great meeting space has been transformed, just like you will be when you step into our new ballroom. Renovations inside the ballroom are now completed.
The Ballroom has a more contemporary color scheme and the main lighting is comprised of crystal tubes which are recessed into "clouds" that give the ceiling more dimension. This lighting will eliminate any interference with AV needs of our meeting clients and will be enhanced with small LED lights around the "clouds", which will provide a range of lighting options, including a subtle sparkling effect for social events.
The color scheme is designed to have a rich, contemporary look, while remaining neutral enough that it will not interfere with the vision of our many brides. Our brand new banquet chairs will provide more support at the lower back and the seat, making them more comfortable for our meeting attendees who sometimes must sit for hours at a time.
This is the first step in renovations that will eventually touch every space in The Gideon Putnam. Our goal is to improve the guest experience while maintaining the vision of The Gideon Putnam's original designer, Dorothy Draper.
